I have made the source code of BucketReef publicly available. This is a web application I initially developed and used for my own needs to manage S3-compatible object storage, with a particular focus on Ceph RGW.
The idea is to bring common storage operations into a single web interface.

What can it do?
- Manage Ceph RGW accounts and users, buckets and quotas.
- Manage IAM users, roles, policies and access keys.
- Configure bucket settings such as versioning and lifecycle rules.
- Browse, upload and download objects, inspect metadata and work with object versions.
It can be used by storage administrators, by team managers with delegated access, or simply as an S3 browser connected to an existing endpoint. A self-service Portal is also available for users of Ceph RGW accounts with IAM enabled.
The different workspaces separate these uses: Admin and Ceph Admin for administration, Manager for delegated management, Browser for buckets and objects, and Portal for self-service access.
Try it
BucketReef is released under the Apache-2.0 license. The project is currently in beta and is intended for evaluation and controlled deployments.
You can explore the interface directly in the online demo.
To try it locally, a Docker Compose QuickStart is available:
curl -fsSL https://bucketreef.ksperis.com/quickstart.sh | sh
